Wild Wood Lamps are beautiful “one of a kind, hand crafted” fully functional lamps from native Rocky Mountain trees. Our lamps range in size from 12 – 34 inches in overall height and 2 – 6 inches in diameter. All are mounted on 1 inch thick pine, fur, oak or poplar bases with all mounting holes and wiring hidden. Bases range from 4 – 12 inches square in width. Each lamp and base are triple coated with an oil or water based satin or semi-gloss lacquer finish. Knots, irregularities, insect holes and trails, cracks, deformities and color changes are common. The most commonly used wood for our lamps is pine and poplar, with some cottonwood and Russian olive. Aspen is also popular. Most come without bark so as to show off Mother Natures work.
