The system we use to build our furniture is called coping. The furniture is made with lodge-pole pine or aspen and is coped to the finest detail. We cope our logs by scribing one log to fit the contour of another log. A hole is then drilled and a lag screw is inserted to tie the two logs together. The size of the lag depends on the size of the log. The hole is then plugged so that the lag is not seen. Our furniture ranges in size, the average sizes of our beds and nightstands are:
Although these are average sizes, your furniture can be made to fit your desires or needs.
